J De Frese has been a curator, gallery owner, manager, arts outreach coordinator, art librarian, installation crew staff, gofer, instructor and is currently an adjunct instructor as well as a practicing artist . He is a native Texan but works as an artist in Austin and Santa Fe .
Currently employed as adjunct art instructor at Austin Community College (1997- present)
Previous employment includes: Texas State University, Laredo Community College, Dougherty Art Center, Laguna Gloria Art Museum. And various staff jobs in museums and galleries – even owned one in Long Beach CA.
